The essential focus of both the courses will be Clinical and Bedside Paediatric Rheumatology, with sufficient emphasis on therapeutics and recent literature review.

Basic Course

This course is designed as a primer in Paediatric Rheumatology, meant for :

• Busy practicing pediatricians who identify this subject as a lacuna in their practice or would like to give their practice a slant towards a subspecialty
• Young practitioners, fellows in training and post graduate students who at the start of their careers would wish to fill their gaps in medical school learning and explore whether they would be interested in pursuing paediatric rheumatology as a subspecialty.

Advanced Course

The advanced module is ideal for:

• Paediatricians who already have some exposure to the subject or have taken basic courses before and would now like to take the ‘leap of faith’ and go all out to develop this specialty at their centres
• Those who run established paediatric rheumatology clinics and are keen on a world class CME closer to home.
• Adult rheumatologists who attempt to fill the gap where no paediatric rheumatology clinics exist but yet shy away from treating children citing that  “A child is not a little man”
